Learning on the job in a business environment is the perfect path for you to consider after you've finished school. This course is designed to make sure that you're "job ready" and equipped with all the skills and knowledge in order to break into the world of business administration.

This Business Administration Apprenticeship is especially aimed at school leavers between ages 16-19. If this is you, then that's perfect! Earn while you learn, gain valuable work experience and a fully recognised qualification.

What will you learn and study?

As an Administrator, you’ll need a broad range of skills to work efficiently and to help the business to run smoothly. Our Business Administration Apprenticeship will be perfect if you want to develop your skills. You'll learn important skills such as producing business documents, organising events, developing and delivering presentations, welcoming visitors, handling mail and providing administrative support for meetings.

What can you do after?

After finishing this Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business Administration you can enter or develop a role as:

  • Administrator / Business support officer
  • Office junior
  • Receptionist

You can also progress onto our Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration.

This Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship will be a mixture of on and off the job guided learning hours (GLH) The minimum hours of on the job training (employment) for an apprentice will be at least 30 hours per week. GLH is a combination of direct teaching or instruction, together with other structured learning time, such as directed assignments, assessments on the job or supported individual study and practice and time needed in the workplace to practice skills and knowledge on the job.

You’ll be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration once you’ve successfully finished this apprenticeship programme. The qualification allows you to show that you have Level 2 Business Administration skills.

You’ll be aged between 16 – 23 years old and whilst there are no formal entry requirements, you should have a good standard of education to join one of our apprentice schemes.

Ideally you’ll have 4 GCSE’s at grade C or above, preferably in English & Maths and ICT. If you have lower grades, you still might also be able to gain entry. We’ll assess your general ability and to see if you have self-reliance, motivation and the people skills to get started.
