During your apprenticeship, you’ll be based in a distribution centre, warehouse or factory, this could be owned by a supermarket, manufacturer, retail store or distribution company. You’ll get hands-on experience learning how to process and manage orders and deliveries, the basics of health and safety, and how to operate machinery to help you manage and move stock around. These are all key logistics and distribution skills that every warehouse and storage employer will be looking for. There might be some heavy lifting so you’ll need to be physically fit!
If you’re sensible and hard-working, this apprenticeship can even help you progress through the roles in a warehouse environment such as team leader, section manager and shift supervisor.
