Swedish massages are very popular health and beauty treatments. There's absolutely nothing better than a Swedish massage to help relieve stress and tension after a long, hard day.

There are also lots of health benefits to a Swedish massage. A Swedish massage enhances circulation, increases blood flow to large muscle groups, relieves pain, helps with digestion, boosts the immune system and relaxes individual muscles.

What you'll learn and study on the course

This unique course will give you an understanding on how to give a Swedish Massage to clients. In particular, you'll learn to prepare for a body massage treatment, be able to manage client expectations, use products, tools and techniques to suit clients treatment needs, skin types and conditions.

Not only that, but you'll also cover important areas such as health and safety, how to assess your client for any health issues and carry out risk assessments and take all the necessary actions before beginning the body massage.

What you can do after with it

After you complete this course, you can become a fully qualified massage therapist and gain employment within a range of commercial beauty salons and health spas. there's also the opportunity to work on a freelance basis and become self-employed, working in home-based settings.

Unit One: Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon (R/600/8780)

On completion of this unit you will:

    On successful completion of our VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage (RQF) course you will receive a qualification listed on the RQF at level 3 (Qualification Reference Number: (500/9043/4). This course has also been assigned 16 credits

    There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
