This entrepreneurship course will allow you to develop a new skill set.  You’ll learn new ways of thinking that will enable you to progress in your existing job role. You can also use the skills that you've acquired on this course to progress into managerial roles.

Unit One: Entrepreneurial Career Development (T/506/9318)

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Be able to identify own career opportunities
  • Be able to identify and assess risks
  • Understand how to pro-actively develop their skills and knowledge
  • Understand how to create and maintain a professional network

Unit Two: Designing a Business Model (T/506/9321)

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Understand what is meant by the term ‘business model’
  • Be able to generate several possible business models for the same business idea
  • Be able to articulate the value proposition(s) for a business
  • Be able to create a detailed business model for a business idea
  • Understand how to identify the critical assumptions in a business model

Unit Three: Testing a Business Idea (M/506/9303)

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Be able to design a means of testing a business idea
  • Understand how to measure a test of a business idea
  • Understand how to interpret a test of a business idea

Unit Four: Evaluating a Business Idea (R/506/9309)

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Be able to undertake a competitor analysis for a business
  • Understand how to communicate with potential customers in order to evaluate a business idea
  • Be able to interpret the information gathered in order to evaluate a business idea

Unit Five: Estimating Costs and Revenue for a Business (L/506/9311)

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Be able to identify the resources required for a business
  • Be able to estimate potential revenue streams for a business
  • Be able to develop a cash flow forecast for a business idea over a one year period
  • Be able to estimate the financial resources required for a business

iCQ Level 3 Certificate in Practical Entrepreneurship (RQF)

On successful completion of our iCQ Level 3 Certificate in Practical Entrepreneurship (RQF) course you will receive a qualification listed on the RQF at level 3 (Qualification Reference Number: (601/5412/3). This course has also been assigned 15 credits.

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
