Our Courses

If you’ve always wanted to work with young children or in childcare, our Early Years and Childcare QCF course will teach you everything you’ll need to work unsupervised with young children in a care or playwork environment. You could go on to work as a soft play or after school assistant, as a playwork development officer in a nursery, play centre or hospital. You could progress to the management of staff or play centre, or even become a self-employed childminder or nanny.

Are you eligible for a 19+
Advanced Learner Loan?
  • Aged over 19 and living in the UK?
  • 19+ loans are Government backed, so you only pay them back if you’re earning over £21,000 a year.

Our courses will give you all the skills to work confidently with children and young people. You’ll learn the importance of self-directed play on development, the basics and principles of playwork, key legislation, safeguarding procedures, and wellbeing of children. Using the knowledge and skills you learn on your course, you can take a hands-on approach to improving the quality of childcare and development of children.

You can sign up to one of our Early Years and Childcare QCF courses at any time, no need to worry about term dates or academic years. This course is distance learning, meaning you can study when and where it suits you, in your own time and in the comfort of your own home! Your study/life balance will be great because you’re in charge of when you study.
